13 Weeks/3 Months/6 Pounds/No Tubes!

Yes you read that correctly!! Ray San is 3 months old now and weighs a whopping 2820 (6 lbs. 3.4 oz.). He is starting to look just like a regular baby... no more Mr. Preemie except for that he's 3 months at this weight and not 3 hours.Ray San also had his feeding evaluation Wednesday morning. They determined that it would most likely help him to have his food thickened. They have started doing this and he has had all bottle feedings. They put him on "on demand" feeding to so he eats when he wants and as much or as little as he feels like. So far all that has been going great. He was getting fed 50 ml. every 3 hours. He's been taking that except this morning around 9:00 he took 90 ml. 90!!!!! That's a little over 3 oz. His next feed was 60 ml. (a little over 2 oz.) about 3 hours later. He then dropped back down to his normal 50ish ml.

Also this morning he decided to pull out his feeding tube. We are now tubeless!!
We have been making great progress. We are bringing in our car seat this weekend so he can get that test done soon. There is also talk of taking him off the caffeine again and seeing what he does. He needs to be off the caffeine for I think 5 days and have no problems before he can come home. I'm hoping they do that this weekend so he can be home this time next week!! How fantastic would that be?!?
Ray also got the trim up in the nursery, put together the bassinet, car seat and stroller. What great progress there too!!
Only good news today =] Oh and Ray and I are feeling better too.
