3 Weeks Old

Today Ray San is three weeks old. He's still stable and doing everything the doctors want. He has dropped a little weight, but he is still above 2 lbs. They have slowly been turning down the back up on his ventilator and they hope to take him off it and put him on the CPAP in a couple days. They are just waiting for him to breathe more on his own while he is sleeping.
Ever since that first diaper change and other fun stuff I did, I get to do it every evening I visit. He usually has a dirty dirty diaper so I'm getting great practice with that. He is under the photo therapy light to help with jaundice so he has an eye shield on most of the time. When we do his hands on care, we take that shield off and clean his eyes. While his shield was off, he opened his eyes again and we were finally able to get a picture.

Ray San is doing incredible and the doctors are pleased with his progress.
